I haven't been to church for like more than a month now :s

People in church have been asking about me, well that's what mummy said. Christmas is coming up, and as usual, there's the cantata. Aunty Shamini and Aunty Sim Thong were bugging mummy to get me to join this year. Have been participating in cantatas for as long as I can remember. Minus the years I was in college. Even had a solo part last year. Heh.

Was thinking of just sitting back this year. Be the audience instead.

Went thru this year's piece, not too bad. But hmm.. Maybe a change this year would be good?

Have been praying too lately. I have been so caught up with other things, haven't been remembering Him who has been blessing me all these years. Been feeling really down lately, and I guess, praying helped a bit. Have always been asking for His guidance and wisdom to get me through things. And the magnet on the fridge did serve its purpose as a reminder to me too.

There's this uneasiness that's been bugging me for the past two weeks. At first I thought it was because of the meeting that I had this afternoon. The crazy stress and anxiety. Ugh. But the meeting went fine, better than I expected in fact. But it's 1242 hours, and I still feel yucky. I can't pin point what's bugging me.

I hate this feeling.

I've been doing all kinds of things to feel better. From listening music, to chatting with friends, to watching tv, to playing with my camera, to playing with my colorful windmill, but nothing helped.

And so I realized that I didn't blog about my trip to Hong Kong last year. Yes, last year. Why ah?

Let's see, what do I remember from that trip.. Oh yes. After the trip, I was missing HK for the next month. Everyday it's like "I wanna go back to HK". Absolutely loved the weather there coz it was winter. Nice and cold! Shopping was not bad (didn't shop like a nut coz they were all winter clothes), food was yummers, Disneyland was absolutely fun (it brought out the kid in me) and our tour guide was a cutie!

So this is erm.. okay I forgot his name. Our tour guide. :)
Anyways, the first photo I took when I got down from the bus was the pic below. Taken outside the hotel.

I don't really remember what we did or where we went to after checking in. Memory super fail. But I'm just gonna take like a series of pics to post up for the heck of it. And oh! When we were in HK, The Dark Knight was shooting there so we were lucky enough to like drive pass the set. Or whatever you call it. Didn't get to take a good pic but managed to take the car with all the cameras and whatever gadgety stuff attached to it.

We went to the beach. And surprise surprise! I don't remember the name. It was Repulse something? Repulse Bay? Oh heck I should really keep a travel log. *pbbfftt* The beach was soooo nice and clean! How I wish the beach opposite my house was as nice and clean.

Super loved the hotel we stayed in. Everything was so Disney-ey! From bedsheets, curtains, mirrors, shower curtains, and every other thing u can think of!

Absolutely love the next pic. Don't know why. Just love it.

And the highlight for that night was the fireworks display. It was so awesomely beautiful! Unfortunately I don't have any pics for that. Below is the last pic I took before my camera died on me. Dang it. Oh well.

Now I can't wait for my trip to Bali with my sayangssssss. October 15 quik comeeeeee!

And so I was at a mooncake party just now. I was layaning myself with my red lantern, burning out 3 candles. Just me and my lantern on a stick. *smiles*

Brings back memories when I was a kid. Us and the neighbors would walk the whole neighborhood with our lanterns. And would burn a lantern or two on the way.

After years and years and yeaaars of not 'lantern-ing', tonight just brings back good old memories.

When I stepped foot in Bangkok, I realised that their taxis are realllllly colorful! Pink, green, purple, blue, etc. Really bold colors. And the taxis there canggih-manggih, Toyota Altis yo. My car oso kalah =(

We went to the ever so famous weekend market, Chatuchak. From what I remember, our train stopped at Mo Chit. But I found this pic in my camera. Don't remember stopping at a Chatuchak Park station. But thought I'd post this pic up. Coz of the "Chatuchak" on it. Heh. But if u were to go there, please, Mo Chit stop aight? Otherwise I don't know if u'll reach Chatuchak Market or not =)

Coz they were such a bargain!

After so long, I baked again today!

Banana muffins! And I'm happy the way they turned out. Absolutely yummy *grins*

Took the opportunity to play around with the camera as well. It has been a LONG time since I last did photography. Should make it a point to take more pics. Otherwise my camera will just dust in the drawer.

On another note, have been drinking truck loads of tomato juice the past week. Tomato juice every single day. Without fail. Tomato juice, my joy juice. Wonder if anyone can OD on tomato juice. No rite? Any side effects ka? Will I like go redder or something? Hmm.. Oh well..

Friday night. All alone. Have been doing nothing the whole night. Was watching tv; well more like the tv watching me. Was stoning in front of the tv. Mind blank. Like totally blank. For some reason or another, I feel kinda desolate tonight.

Every now and then, I'll feel this way. Empty inside. Depressed for some reason. Then I start to analyze things. Lots of why's and what if's. Endless questions with no answers. Then I get so super demoralized that I start questioning my existence here.

Was in the office browsing thru friends' blogs when I came to know about Wafi's passing. I was utterly shocked. Unconciously, tears were streaming down my cheeks. I don't know Wafi. Met him only ONCE and have only heard of him thru Glenn, Allen, Gary, etc.

Knowing that my friends have lost one of their dear friends, somehow cut me. I can't imagine losing any of my friends. Life's definitely too short.

I believe this is one of the catalysts to what I'm feeling tonight.

I wish I was better with words. Can't seem to articulate how I'm feeling right now.

My life has changed drastically. Joining the work force has definitely turned my whole life upside down. Not that it's a bad thing. Working for half a year now, I have definitely turned into a cynic. *ppbbfft*

My naive assumptions and views on life as a working adult have been proven wrong. Utter disappointment. But that's life. It has been, is, and always will be like that. So live and let live.

Felt like blogging. Though I have no idea what I'm gonna blog about.

Time flies way too fast. I'm already into my fifth month of working. That's nearly half a year! And I still feel as if I just started working last month. *shrugs*

Weekdays pass by like totiz. And weekends pass by like nobody's nenek kebayan's business. *ppbbfftt*

I miss taking photographs. I miss baking. I miss my ponies. I miss having mini TV series marathons. I miss messing with photoshop for hours. I miss doing nothing.

I really think that I should blog more often.

I was blog surfing, and almost every blog I went to had an entry on 2006.

2006 came. 2006 went.

2006 was pretty good for me. The two very major events that happened last year, was that I graduated, and got myself a job. And oh, my drastic change of hairstyle; which the guys call it ah lian hairstyle. -.- I don't look like an ah lian and I ain't no ah lian ok. PLEASE! *pffbbt* I could have gotten my diving license last year, but postponed it to this year. So I'll make that this year's highlight.

And the ever so typical, new year's resolutions.

Honestly, all these years, nv made any. Even if I had, like back during skool days, they were the for heck of it, and I nv followed any of 'em. I guess it's good to actually have resolutions, and then follow 'em. At least u sorta have a 'goal' for that year. Milestones u're supposed to achieve and whatnot. Something like a project plan u know? *lol* Can u see elements of work here?

Probably I should take a minute and make my new year's resolutions.

I was also looking back at my old posts. I really blogged with ease back then. Now I have to sit and think of what to blog. Even this post, tersekat-sekat! OK maybe not as bad, but still!

Ahh.. squeaky clean! This blog's really dusty. *lol*

It has been quite a while since I last updated my blog. Have been really busy with work and all. When I'm off work, I'm just too tired and lazy to blog. I shall make today an exception. Coz there's this 'urge' to blog. It has been wayyyyyyy too long.

I've been working for a month and a half now. And for those of u who don't know, yes I'm working already! In Malacca. I met Vince the other day and he thought I was working in KL. No Vince! MALACCA YO! =)

Anyways, work has been.. okay? Hurm.. How shall I describe it? It's not bad, it's not all good either. It's somewhere in the middle. But more to the bad side? =/ We shall leave this for the next entry shall we? I wanna blog about something cheery today!

Christmas is less than a week! *excited* This year, our christmas tree has the gold and silver theme. But the christmas lights are colorful though. Looks good to me. (bcoz I was the one who decorated the whole tree, all by myself! *grins*) Should have gone with the red theme, then the tree could be kept up right up till CNY. Probably should do that next year. =p

Also, over the weekend me and my sister baked Christmas cookies! We baked five and a half dozen of 'em and they finished within the same night! How crazy is THAT?! We brought the cookies over to the restaurant and everyone gobbled 'em up. The cookies were a hit! *grins* But I find it too sweet for my liking. Probably gonna bake more of 'em the next few days. These cookies are fun to make! Covering 'em in frosting is also fun but I didn't manage to take any pics of the cookies with frosting on. I forgot! Hehe.. Next time..

Have not been updating again. *grins* What's my excuse? I was sick! for a whole week! Well it started on Deepavali night with a sorethroat. Then the fever came, then the flu came, then the cough came. The whole package la. U get my gist. I'm not fully recovered yet, still coughing. But the rest went away two days ago.

So, let's see. Oh! This is important.

I'VE FINALLY GOTTEN A FREAKING JOB!
I got the job two weeks ago and I'll be starting on WEDNESDAY! I've got the collywobbles about MY FIRST EVER REAL REAL JOB!!! Not that the previous job wasn't real, just not as real as this. Ok I'm crapping. Whatever.

Now I gotta start building up my working wardrobe! I've very VERY little working clothes. The previous one didn't require me to dress up. Jeans, shorts, tees & swimsuits were the dresscode. Ha!

So a new phase of my life will begin this November. *smiles*

I had a really long day yesterday coz I was up in KL for a job interview. When I got back to Malacca, I was at the restaurant and was drinking a bit with mummy and her friends. With alcohol in my system and an extremely long tiring day in KL, I slept like a baby yest night.

Unfortunately, I was roused from my slumbers by a phone call. Thinking it was morning already, and thinking that the call might be from the company offering me the job, I put on my 'I'm-not-asleep' voice and answered the call.

The first two years in college was a blast. Made a truck load of new friends, lotsa mamak sessions, clubbing, etc.

Third and fourth year of college, hurm. I was always cooped up in my room. Only hung out with a few selected friends. I found myself swept up in the 'social' world of college life and hardly had time to mingle around. The ever piling homework and assignments and projects sucked the social life outta me. Or so I think.

OK wait, I did have a social life. With Stella! *lol* She'd bring me out and ngee-ngah around. OMG! I cannot imagine if Stella wasn't around at that time. I'd prolly be a super nerd. Prolly the queen of all nerds! *shrugs*

As age catches up on me, I realised that I've become more anti-social. Okay maybe labelling myself as anti-social can be a lil too strong a word. Reserved would be much more appropriate. Yea. I've become a more reserved person. Bleh.

At times, I have to FORCE myself out when friends call for a drink. Even mummy nags me to get out.

And at some, at a gathering or outting with friends, I actually feel lazy to talk/mix around. As if talking/mixing around will absorb all of my energy and leave me withered like a dead plant and then I'll have no more energy to get my ass back home. It's THAT bad.

Shit. I'm only 22 and I'm talking/feeling as if I'm half a decade! Heck even ppl at half a decade have a life, they go dancing at the restaurant every weekend, drink liquor, talk nonsense and sing a totally off tune "Country Roads". Damn!

I spent my afternoon and evening at the restaurant yesterday. Afternoon was spent at the Gardenview helping mum. I became the 'tukang buat air'. It was quite fun. But I guess if there were lotsa customers, sure die. Kelam kabut to the max. *grins*

In the evening, I was at the Seaview hanging at the beach. Was making "sand cakes" with Trisha. Thank goodness I didn't get wet yesterday coz most of the time when I'm playing with Trisha, we'll be playing in the sea, getting ourselves wet from head to toe jumping over waves and sitting on the sand letting the waves hit us (and getting sand all inside our pants. ugh.). Absolute fun. She's only five but she acts like a nenek. Very fun to talk to her coz she's so super nenek and also very vain!

Kids these days damn drama I tell you.

My sister is in Form 1 this year. She has this classmate who's like obssessed with her. She bought the same school bag as my sis, and follows my sister wherever she goes. Freaky ay?

Btw, her name is Lim.

Well I've met this girl, spoken to her, seen her in action. To me, she's annoying. Really annoying. Like SUPER annoying. My sis and her friends have told me stories about this girl. About how she flirts with every guy in sight, how she backstabs her friends and causes conflicts between people, how she always cari pasal with people with no apparent reason, how she gets her boyfriends, how she steals her parents money, etc. Because of these, no one likes her and no one wants to be her friend.

Last Saturday my sister and her friend went to Mahkota to shop for clothes. My sister has a blog and she blogged about it. Apparently this Lim girl read my sister's blog and I guess she got jealous or something.

You know what she did?

Today in school she threatened my sister's friends. She said, "You think I don't know you all went to Mahkota to buy stuff ah? You all better don't mess with my life. I've already gave your pictures and Radiance's picture to my boyfriend. I even gave your numbers. You all better watch out. You don't think my boyfriend kenot get ppl to beat you up."

Oh, it seems that Lim's boyfriend is a gangster. Danny from Kampung Lapan. And he works in a phone shop.

My sister didn't go to school today so after school her friends called her to tell her about the threat. They were so scared of her. My sister wasn't scared at first, but now she's a lil scared. Poor thing. At first I just brushed it off coz you know la, budak kecik these days. Cakap pandai. Moreover, gangster so what? They have their own rules wat, takkan simply whack ppl? Then after some thought, and I recalled the video about the school girls fighting, I got scared for my sister's safety. Never underestimate what kids these days can do.

I told her not to worry because I have connections. I just have to make a call. Anywayz, my brother also knows ppl so he's also finding out who this guy is. And tomoro my brother and I are going to see this Lim girl. This girl really gonna kena gertak from me. Stupid. Messing with the wrong ppl.

I guess my brother and I are a bit ganas la. My mum on the other hand said to confront her nicely and if she threatens again, then only take action.

Stella, Siew Har, Ashwin & Glenn were the 'unlucky' ones who had the chance to try the cupcakes. I received good feedback from them though. (Maybe they were just being nice. Ha!) I thought the cupcakes were a lil too sweet; that was on the first day. On the second day however, the cupcakes tasted HEAVENLY!! I don't know why but they tasted better after the first day. The cakes were moist and the frosting was yummy! And they weren't as sweet as the day before. Just nice. =)

Now I know when to give out cupcakes. A day after they're baked. Heh.

I was at the restaurant this evening and there were loads of fungus around. I love fungus. They're so nice! Aren't they the most photogenic creatures?!

1. My name Midori (Which btw, means green in Japanese, and I forbid you from calling me GREEN.) was given to me by my parents' friends from Japan. And yes, Midori is in my IC. Don't believe me, ask me for my IC when you see me. For those of you who actually thought that I was named after the liquer Midori, stop reading this and go smack yourself hard. And I mean REAL hard.

2. My grandma however, insisted that I should have a Christian name. She wanted to name me Radiance. (I'm not so sure if Radiance is even a Christian name.) But my parents really liked the name Midori. So to make everyone happy, Midori became my first name, and Radiance became my middle name.

3. I didn't know the existence of my middle name until I was nine. I was SO excited at that time, I went telling everyone about my new name. Unfortunately, none of my friends believed me at that time. *sigh* They only started believing me when we were in Standard Six. And from then on, I was known to have the longest name in the class register. 27 freaking characters all together.

4. I came to know later that my parents actually wanted to name me Crystal. But I guess Midori was destined to be my name. Btw, my 3 year old cousin is named Crystal. They couldn't think of any other names. Ha! Oh, which brings me to my sister. For those of you who didn't know, my sister's name is Radiance! Again, couldn't find any other nicer names.

5. I'm very very thankful that I was born a girl because apparently, the other Japanese name suggested if I was a boy would be Taro! TARO!! Like yuckkkkk! Taro isn't even a name! Imagine, Taro Chin. *faints* But I guess even if I was born a boy, my parents wouldn't be so crazy to name me Taro because they didn't name my brother Taro. *phew*

6. Everytime I introduce myself as Midori, people always mishear me and think that I said my name was Mee Goreng. *slaps forehead*

7. I sometimes fool people and tell them that I'm of mixed parentage. I'll tell them that I have a lil bit of English blood, a lil bit of Japenese blood, and a lil bit of Chinese blood. And they'll fall for it and gimme some bullcrap saying "Oh, no wonder you don't look like a Malaysian. Your features are different. And you can't speak Chinese." Then I'll be laughing my ass off silently at their stupid remarks. Like hello?! I look SO Chinese ok? Hahaha! Suckers~!!

8. I love every bit of my name; my first name, my middle name and my chinese name. Very much. *grins*

Boredom: the desire for desires

I was so bored I needed to do something. Thought I haven't been taking any pictures lately, so I grabbed the camera and went outside to the garden.

Couldn't find anything interesting to snap outside so I went back in. Went around the house looking for things to snap.

Then I went into the bathroom.

I should really work on my water compositions. Not easy I tell u. Anywayz, after spending quite some time in the bathroom, I went back to my room.

Damn 'wu liao' rite? Ha! Bite me!

Yesterday's highlights:

Satay celup at Siew Har's was superb. However, the guys just had to make everything sound so dirty. Typical. From eggs, to sausages and balls. Go figure.

Yen Mao (or watever the spelling is) lactated. Yeap he did. And he lactated only on one side. And he didn't have tits.

Choo & Glenn are crazily obsessed with Razor Ramon HG aka Hard Gay. They are so crazily obsessed with him, so much so that Choo started copying his signature pose and overly much used phrase "hooOOooOooOO!". Thank goodness he did not mimic the hip thrusting part. *pengsan*

Everyone seems to be traumatized after seeing Choo yawn.

For the first time yesterday, I had sliced rambutans. I repeat, sliced. *yummers*

Allen somehow was the limelight of the night due to something which I can't blog about but for those who were there, u know what I'm talking about.

I finally know who Siew Lin and Gary are.

When it was time to go back, the guys had to carry Allen's car. Yeap, they carried and moved Allen's car with their bare hands. Hebat kan?

That's all I can think for now. Many hilarious things happened but some things are better left unblogged, if u get what I mean. *grins*

And to Siew Har, have fun in Singapore and do come back often ya? If u were to get a Singaporean bf, he has to go thru QC test conducted by Allen and myself first, aight? Heh. =)

Mama extinct!

Yesterday we were hanging out at a family friend's place and as usual mummy will be with Aunty Alice and Aunty Michelle, wait, my sis was with them too. And I was hanging out with the boys; Hans (9 yrs) and Rhys (6yrs). I LOVE hanging out with them. They are just SO freaking adorable. Esp Rhys. He's so naughty and cheeky!

When I'm hanging out with Hans, we'll be playing PS2. And our fave game is football! He'll always give in to me. He'll go:

OK la I put the control down, u kick the ball in ok?

I'll insist that we play a fair game and we always draw. (I'm not bad at video games ok?) Then when it comes to penalties, he'll cheat his way into winning the game. He'll go:

Don't press anything, I wanna test out something.

And then he shoots, he scores, and he wins the game! That rascal!

When I'm with Rhys, its always about dinosaurs. Dinosaurs here, dinosaurs there. I bought him glow in the dark dinosaur thingies and he pasted 'em all over his room. When he was younger, mummy always bought him dinosaur books. Until the extent that everytime we went over, he'll go over to mummy and ask "Do you have anymore dinosaur books?" And he loves drawing too! He draws nothing but dinosaurs. Anyway, yesterday we were browsing thru his dinosaur books and he was teaching me how to pronounce all the dinosaur names.

Rhys: This is a brachiosaurus.
Me: *teasing* What? Broccoli-saurus?
Rhys: *giggling about* NOOOO! Breh-kio-saw-rus! Say, breh.. *cue-ing me to repeat after him*
Me: Breh
Rhys: Kio
Me: Kio
Rhys: Saw

Rhys: Rus
Me: Rus! Broccoli-saurus!
Rhys: *slaps his forehead* BRACHIOSAURUS!

Then we both burst out with laughter. He then proceeded to teach me how to rap dinosaur style.

Then we were both rapping and making silly songs dinosaur style. *grins*

Then just before dinner.

Aunty Alice: *chitter chatter* ... don't even know I exist ..
Rhys: *turns to his grandma in shock* Mama! You exist!

*all burst out in laughter*

Mummy: Of course mama exist. If mama don't exist then how?
Rhys: Then mama extinct! Hahahaha! Mama extinct!!

My graphic card KO-ed so I was without a PC for 6 days.

I keep wondering how the graphic card KO-ed. Damn weird.

My dog went missing on Friday. =( We went out for a while and left the gate opened coz it was raining. When we got back, there was no dog. He somehow escaped from his leash and never returned. He probably got out of his leash, went out gallivanting and couldn't find his way back coz it was raining and the rain washed away all traces of 'dog-smell' back to my house. Mummy thinks someone stole him. I haven't even named him! *pouts* We tried looking for him around the neighbourhood, and realised that he had no name for us to call. So we were hoping to hear his bell but.. No bell *sigh* Damn sedih. Even though he wasn't the cutest dog on earth, his antics were cute enough for me. He's gone now, and I don't think he's coming back. I still hear his bell ringing in my ears at times.

I miss my brown hairless doggggggg! =(
